Best Civils Limited is managed by Sam Best IEng MICE CMEngNZ (Eng. Technologist) IntET(NZ) MInstD, who is an enthusiastic and highly motivated Civil Engineer who is accredited with the Institution of Civil Engineers and Engineering New Zealand with over twenty-plus years of experience in the Civil & Construction Management industry in the UK and New Zealand. His project experience includes pumping stations, heavy civils, structures, highways, building and aviation sectors.
He uses this experience not only to enhance the lives of those in the community but also to inspire the next #FutureEngineers
His business partner, Lance Vale, has been in the construction industry for over twenty-plus years, building high-quality properties through his company, Coastal Homes in Northland. Through his and our sister company, the Innovation and Sustainability Store, we can now also offer innovative and sustainable products and services, truly making Best Civils your "one-stop shop" for any residential Design and Build projects.
It is also a company objective to specialise in geotechnical engineered systems in the residential, commercial and infrastructure sectors by working in harmony with Tailor Engineering NZ the design company of engineered solutions that Sam Best also manages.
CONSTRUCTION
We provide services on a wide range of residential, commercial & industrial siteworks development, including bulk earthworks for large scale building platforms, detailed footing excavation, drainage, carpark construction, retaining structures and detailed hard landscaping.
We can also repair damaged buildings both domestic and commercial and their associated infrastructure.
With an experienced management team with strong industry knowledge and skills, you can rely on our team to consistently deliver on time, on budget, to high quality and safely.

DESIGN MANAGEMENT
We offer civil, water and construction services that include full infrastructure and civil engineering design, including transportation, three waters and observation of private, public and utility construction. Our engineering services aren’t limited to this, and we can also support project execution planning, including key tasks and critical paths.
